Washington Commanders is a professional American football team which is based in the Washington metropolitan area and it is one of the most famous teams in the NFL. The Franchise was founded in 1932, by George Preston Marshall as the Boston Braves. They changed their name to Redskins the following year and in 1937, after moving to Washington D.C. they became the Washington Redskins.
