Dan Snyder continues to sit in hot water. There was a recent report that stated that the Washington Commanders owner was largely to blame for and heavily involved in the toxic workplace that persisted in Washington for many years. Snyder, the league and Roger Goodell were all sued by the Washington, D.C. attorney general.
The NFL owners reportedly had a meeting regarding that report, but it was very short. According to Front Office Sports, one owner said that the meeting lasted just five minutes.
Snyder was not in attendance at this meeting, but owners there generally expect him to sell the team soon. If he doesn't sell the whole team, he is still expected to sell a controlling interest.

Behind closed doors, they could admit this. Publicly, however, they've remained more neutral. This is a testy situation and no owner wants to join Snyder in the water that continues to get warmer with every passing day.
However, according to Front Office Sports, Goodell isn't certain a sale is coming:
“I don’t have any expectations on that. Dan’s statement that he put out that he was exploring, and we will continue to work with him on that.”
Dan Snyder recently hired Bank of America to oversee potential transactions, but the potential sale of the franchise has not progressed much further than that.
Prior to that, there were rumblings in league circles that Snyder could and would be forced to sell, but that may not have to happen if he sells of his own accord.
Who could replace Dan Snyder as the Washington Commanders owner?
It's still up in the air, but it remains likely that sometime in the near future, someone else will own the Washington Commanders. It may take a while, but Snyder is not likely to be in this for the long haul anymore.
Jeff Bezos emerged as a candidate and he reportedly discussed with Jay-Z about putting together an ownership group.
Peyton Manning has always had an interest in ownership, so he could get involved at some point, too.
