The Green Bay Packers versus Miami Dolphins clash concludes the NFL's Thanksgiving tripleheader on Thursday, but a good number of fans may not notice. After all, much focus will be on the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys, who will be fulfilling tradition by hosting divisional rivals.
That is a major shame because it pits two divisional runner-ups who each have intriguing rosters and some pieces that may net a strong fantasy football haul.

The 8-3 Packers have designs on reclaiming the NFC North from the conference-leading Detroit Lions, but that will require excellently perfect play and some luck. Fortunately for them, they do have some strong contributors.
Quarterback Jordan Love has an extremely deep cast of wide receivers to throw to, all of whom are capable of making big plays:
- Christian Watson
- Romeo Doubs
- Jayden Reed
- Dontayvion Wicks
- Bo Melton
- Malik Heath
As a bonus, he has tight end Tucker Kraft as a bigger-bodied option who can flatten opposing secondaries.
Meanwhile, the 5-6 Dolphins have been on a roll ever since Tua Tagovailoa's return. After losing at the Buffalo Bills, they have won three straight to put themselves within reach of a Wild Card spot.
In their last two games, someone other than Tyreek Hill has been their leading receiver. Against the Las Vegas Raiders, it was tight end Jonnu Smith with six catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Then against the New England Patriots, it was Jaylen Waddle with eight for 144 and one.
Ultimately, however, this potential shootout will be decided by the defense. And the Dolphins have an edge that should guarantee them victory: linebackers, with Jordyn Brooks and Emmanuel Ogbah playing decently ever since they received second chances.
Prediction: Dolphins win 34-31.
Packers vs. Dolphins fantasy outlook
Josh Jacobs figures to be the most important piece for Green Bay, his 106-yard, three-touchdown performance against the San Francisco 49ers had Sportskeeda putting him at RB17 in its latest fantasy football rankings.
With both teams ranking within the top seven in fantasy points allowed against wide receivers and thus expected to mitigate each other's aerial game, he should have another strong performance come Sunday.
On the other hand, the three-headed monster of Raheem Mostert, DeVon Achane and Jaylen Wright are expected to take turns chipping away at their opponents' inferior linebacking core.
Where to watch Packers vs. Dolphins
The game can be seen on NBC with a scheduled start time of 8:20 p.m. ET. Mike Tirico will be calling the action alongside Cris Collinsworth – their first of two assignments for the week – with Melissa Stark providing updates from the sidelines.
