Week 14 of the 2024 fantasy football will be one of the most important slates of the year. Most leagues begin their playoffs next week, so managers will have one last chance to secure their postseason spots or improve their seed. This means that optimizing lineups will be absolutely crucial, which starts with picking the right quarterbacks.

Finding the most favorable matchups and ideal situations has always been a valuable strategy for streaming quarterbacks in fantasy football. Using this approach, Jordan Love is an excellent choice for Week 14 lineups.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback will face off against the Detroit Lions in a potential shootout and face a defense that is one of the best in the NFL at stopping the run, but has struggled against opposing quarterbacks.

He is joined by Baker Mayfield, who has cooled off in recent weeks, but is still having an excellent 2024 fantasy football season. He finished as the QB7 or better in seven of his first eight games, but outside of the top 15 weekly quarterbacks in three of his past four contests.

He still ranks as the overall QB6 this year and has a strong chance of getting back on track against a weak Las Vegas Raiders passing defense.

Determining which quarterbacks to fade in fantasy football is just as important as identifying which ones to target. Geno Smith is among those who should be avoided in Week 14 as his fantasy value continues to decrease.

He has finished as the QB19 or worse in each of his past three games and has two games with multiple passing touchdowns this season, despite ranking as the overall QB12 so far. He also gets a challenging matchup this week against a surging Arizona Cardinals defense.

Joining him on the list of Week 14 fades is Kirk Cousins, who has been struggling for the Atlanta Falcons in recent weeks. He has failed to record a touchdown across his past three games and has also thrown six interceptions during that stretch. Despite a favorabe matchup against his former team the Minnesota Vikings, he simply can't be trusted in fantasy football lineups right now.
