Week 16 of the 2024 fantasy football season will feature playoff games in just about every league format. This means that managers must make sure to fully optimize all positions in their lineups to give them the best chance at avoiding elimination. This starts with their quarterbacks, who are often among the highest-scoring players each week.

Using fantasy football quarterback rankings is one of the best ways to determine who to target for starting lineups. A player's rankings are based on many factors, including their recent performances and weekly matchups.

Using this strategy, Caleb Williams has emerged as an interesting quarterback to use in Week 16 fantasy football lineups. He has been inconsistent this year for the Chicago Bears but has flashed his elite upside in the right situations, including four weekly finishes as the QB6 or better. One of those came just three weeks ago against the Detroit Lions, who he will face off against again this week.

Kyler Murray joins him as another high-upside option in Week 16 despite his inconsistent weekly output. He has finished as the QB17 or worse in three of his past four games for the Arizona Cardinals but still ranks as the overall QB11 this year. He also gets one of the most favorable matchups possible this week against the Carolina Panthers, one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

Baker Mayfield has been one of the most consistently reliable fantasy football quarterbacks this season, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on his way to being ranked as the overall QB5. He has ranked among the top ten weekly quarterbacks nine times in his 14 games this year and gets an excellent opportunity at another one against the Dallas Cowboys.

One of the most high-risk, high-reward options is Anthony Richardson, who has proven to have an elite weekly ceiling and a dangerous floor. He has finished as the weekly QB4 or better three times in ten games this season but outside of the top 20 six times. He is surely a risk but it could pay off in a big way during the fantasy playoffs when the Indianapolis Colts take on the Tennessee Titans.
