Week 16 of the 2024 fantasy football season kicks off with a Thursday Night Football showdown between the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers. Ladd McConkey has increased his overall volume in recent weeks as the clear WR1 in the Los Angeles Chargers offense. He has recorded at least five receptions in each of his past four games and has exceeded 100 yards in two of them. This has helped him to improve his season-long to the overall WR21 so far ahead of his matchup against the Denver Broncos. Despite their elite passing defense, he is still a solid lineup target this week.

He is joined by Courtland Sutton, the clear WR1 in his offense for the Broncos. He has been consistently solid in his role during the 2024 fantasy football season, ranking as the overall WR12 entering Week 16. He has exceeded five receptions in six of his past seven games and has exceeded 100 yards in three of them, so he is also trending in the right direction with the Chargers up next on his schedule.

Gus Edwards (GETTY)
Gus Edwards (GETTY)

Gus Edwards is among the players to fade in the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos. He has failed to increase his overall fantasy value after JK Dobbins went down with an injury, and he was elevated to a starter. He has failed to eclipse 40 yards in each of his past five games and has only exceeded a 50% snap percentage once. He also has just two receptions this season, severely limiting his upside.

Kimani Vidal played in more snaps than Edwards last week, but he has also failed to provide relevant fantasy value. The running back tandem on the other side of Javonte Williams and Audric Estime should also both be faded, making this a difficult position to trust on either team for Week 16 fantasy football.

Must Sits

  • Gus Edwards
  • Kimani Vidal
  • Javonte Williams
  • Audric Estime
  • Josh Palmer

DFS Fades

  • Justin Herbert
  • Devaughn Vele
