Baker Mayfield is having the best fantasy football season of his career this year, currently ranking as the overall QB5 so far. This tops his previous career-best of QB10, which he set in his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season.
He is also on a recent hot streak right now, finishing among the top ten weekly quarterbacks in four of his past five games, with a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers up next for him. This makes him one of the best overall players to target this week, combining an elite ceiling with a safe floor.
He is joined by Sam Darnold, who has been one of the biggest breakout players of the 2024 fantasy football season. He ranks QB9 overall this year after never finishing any of his previous seasons ranked inside of the top 25 quarterbacks. He has also finished as the weekly QB8 or better in four of his past six games giving him plenty of momentum ahead of the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers game this week.

Week 17 Fantasy Football QBs Sit 'Em picks
Aaron Rodgers has been disappointing for the New York Jets this year, but he has been solid in fantasy football in recent weeks. He has finished as the weekly QB11 or better in two of his past three games and has quickly improved his overall ranking to the QB15 this season.
He has still finished outside of the top 20 weekly quarterbacks in four of his past six games, so he can't be trusted this week against a solid Buffalo Bills' passing defense, especially in traditional league formats that allow just one quarterback in starting lineups.
Must Sits
- Aaron Rodgers
- Cooper Rush
- Drake Maye
DFS Fades
- Brock Purdy
- Tua Tagovailoa
- Geno Smith
