Week 17 Kansas City Chiefs Injury Report: Latest on Chris Jones, Chamarri Conner and more for Christmas GameDay

The Kansas City Chiefs remain on track to end the regular season with the best record in the NFL. That'll mean they will have a home-ground advantage for the entirety of the playoffs, aside from the Super Bowl.

However, they must navigate a tricky Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Let's examine the Chiefs' injury report ahead of Christmas day.

Week 17 Kansas City Chiefs Injury Report

According to the report, Jones suffered the injury in his side's Week 16 win over the Houston Texans. He's in a race against time to prove his fitness for Week 17 game.

Chamarri Conner's injury update

According to Rotowire, Chamarri Conner did not participate in the Chiefs' Monday training session. The cornerback is still dealing with a concussion sustained in Week 15 and hasn't been cleared to return.

Conner missed the Houston Texans game in Week 16 because of a head injury. Plus, he's likely to miss Week 17 due to the close nature of the games.

Jack Cochrane's injury update

According to CBS Sports, Jack Cochrane has been placed on the injured reserve. The linebacker is dealing with an ankle injury that he suffered against the Houston Texans.

Cochrane's addition to the injured reserve spells the end of his regular season. Any player added to the IR must miss at least four games. Hence, the Chiefs must make another deep postseason run for the LB to feature this season.

Jawaan Taylor's injury update

According to Yardbreaker, Jawaan Taylor was a limited participant in Monday's practice session. The offensive tackle left the Texans game early due to a knee injury.

Hence, his presence at the Chiefs' practice session will be a major relief for Andy Reid's team. Taylor is a key member of the Chief's offensive line and will be counted upon during the team's hunt for a third consecutive Super Bowl.
