The Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Bears met in Week 17 of the NFL season, in a game that represented the final Thursday Night Football of 2024. The Bears were already eliminated from playoff contention, while the Seahawks could not afford to lose more ground to the Los Angeles Rams.
The contest between Caleb Williams and Geno Smith was far from impressive. On a cold night in Chicago, both teams struggled to pass the ball with consistency.
At halftime, they had managed to complete just 17 combined passes, with a great Caleb Williams touchdown being nullified by penalty. But the situation became even worse in the second half, when not a single point was scored.
The Seahawks ended the game with a win thanks to a couple of first-half field goals.

Quarterback
Smith once again struggled and failed to orchestrate a touchdown drive through four quarters. The majority of Seattle fans are upset with Ryan Grubb as the offensive coordinator, and this was a huge negative display for his group.
Rushing and receiving
None of Seattle's pass-catchers eclipsed the 50-yard mark, a surprise considering the level of the players they have. However, they were able to run the ball effectively, amassing 4.9 yards per carry, one of their best running displays of the season.

Quarterback
Apart from his incredible touchdown pass that was called back for offensive holding, it was another tough night for the Bears rookie. He had just over 50% of completions and was hammered all night by the opposing pass rush, which was able to sack him seven times.
Rushing and receiving
Chicago's rushing offense is a big problem, and if you take away Williams' ability to scramble, they had under 4.0 yards per carry during the game. Shane Waldron's firing did give the offense new life, but since Thomas Brown was promoted to head coach, it was clear that the system was broken.
