The Broncos will host the Chiefs in their regular season finale in a game that will decide if Denver will snap their eighth-year postseason drought this year.

While the Broncos have a postseason berth on the line in Week 18, their opponent, the Chiefs, have already locked up the top seed in the AFC and have secured a first-round bye in the playoffs. As a result, the team will be sitting Patrick Mahomes and several other starters in Week 18.

Below, we will take a look at the Chiefs' injury report ahead of their regular season finale at Empower Field.

Chiefs' injury report for Week 18

The Kansas City Chiefs listed four players as out for their Week 18 trip to Denver on their final injury report: offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee), running back Isiah Pacheco (rib), cornerback Jaylen Watson (ankle), and wide receiver Mecole Hardman (knee).

Pacheco, who had already missed significant time earlier in the season due to a fractured fibula, will not play in the regular season finale, but he should be healthy for the playoffs, head coach Andy Reid noted on Monday.

"He'll be available playoff-wise. I'll probably hold him back this week in practice just a bit so he can be fresh and ready to go," the veteran coach said.

Reid also hinted that Watson (ankle) and Hardman (knee) would make a comeback during the playoffs, but he seemed more confident about the receiver's swift recovery than that of the cornerback.

The Chiefs gave us an idea of the key players they will be resting against the Denver Broncos in Week 18 based on their final injury report. Although no player was given the questionable designation by the team, several starters were given the doubtful label.

Giving a player the doubtful tag usually indicates that they are more likely to not play than to do so. Most of the players who were assigned that designation on the team's final injury report are injury-free. However, these are key players who will most likely be rested for the Broncos game on Sunday.

The players the team deemed doubtful for the regular season finale are listed here: quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle/rest/coach's decision), defensive lineman Chris Jones (calf/rest/coach's decision), linebacker Nick Bolton (rest/coach's decision), running back Kareem Hunt (rest/coach's decision), defensive end George Karlaftis (rest/coach's decision), tight end Travis Kelce (rest/coach's decision), safety Justin Reid (rest/coach's decision), and linebacker Drue Tranquill (rest/coach's decision).
