Week 18 of the 2024 NFL season has officially arrived as all teams are preparing to play their final regular season game. Dominant passing attacks have been one of the stories of the year, and while quarterbacks have been in the spotlight, having dominant wide receivers helps them to shine.
Many of the top offenses in the NFL feature at least one elite WR, but having a duo of playmakers on the outside makes things even more difficult for opposing defenses. Several teams have embraced this concept, giving their QBs more flexibility in their schemes.
No WR duo in the entire NFL has been better than Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins of the Cincinnati Bengals. Chase is on the verge of winning the rare receiving triple crown as he leads all players with 117 receptions, 1,612 receiving yards, and 16 receiving touchdowns entering his Week 18 game.
He also gets the luxury of having an elite WR2 playing across from him in the formation as Higgins would represent the top option on several NFL teams. He ranks eighth this season with 78 receiving yards per game and his 10 receiving TDs are the fifth-most of any player.
