The Philadelphia Eagles have already secured the No. 2 spot in the NFC ahead of their Week 18 game. However, their opponent this week, the New York Giants, recorded only their first win in 11 games last weekend.

The Giants have already been eliminated from postseason contention, but they will be looking to end the season on a high against a divisional rival.

The Giants don't have anything to play for in the final week of the season, so fans should expect them to play without a number of their starters as they await their first playoff opponent. Now, let's take a look at the team's injury report ahead of the Sunday afternoon game.

Eagles injury report for Week 18

The only player listed as “out” on the Philadelphia Eagles' final injury report on Friday was quarterback Jalen Hurts. We won't see him play again until the playoffs as he is still in concussion protocol.

When asked about Hurt's condition during the week, head coach Nick Sirianni didn't give much away, but he said the quarterback “is progressing through the protocol.”

Additionally, quarterback Kenny Pickett did not practice during the week and is questionable to play on Sunday due to rib injuries. Tanner McKee, who played for the first time in the NFL regular season against the Dallas Cowboys last week, will likely get his start against New York on Sunday.

The only other player listed as "questionable" for the Eagles is RB Will Shipley (concussion), even though he was a full practice participant on Thursday and Friday. His only requirement to play in Week 18 is to pass the concussion protocol before kickoff.

Several players were designated as doubtful on the team's final injury report, but many of them are not dealing with injuries. Instead, these are key players who will probably be rested for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Here is a list of the players the team designated "doubtful" for the regular season finale: running back Saquon Barkley (rest/coach's decision), linebacker Zack Baun (rest/coach's decision), wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee/rest/coach's decision), defensive tackle Jalen Carter (rest/coach's decision), linebacker Nakobe Dean (abdomen/rest/coach's decision).

The list continues with guard Landon Dickerson (rest/coach's decision), tackle Lane Johnson (rest/coach's decision), tackle Jordan Mailata (rest/coach's decision), cornerback Darius Slay (rest/coach's decision), and wide receiver DeVonta Smith (wrist/rest/coach's decision).

Barkley will not have the opportunity to surpass the historic single-season rushing record that is owned by Eric Dickerson. Dickerson's record of 2,105 rushing yards is only 100 yards more than Barkley's 2,005 through 16 games this season.
