Week 18 of the 2024 fantasy football season will wrap up the year with the final slate of games. Any league that has not yet concluded will be playing its championship rounds this week, so managers still alive must ensure they put out their best lineups possible. Here are some of the best quarterbacks to target and fade to do so.

Joe Burrow has been excellent in fantasy football, bringing the Cincinnati Bengals back into contention for the NFL playoffs. He has thrown for three or more touchdown passes in each of his past eight consecutive games and ranks as the overall QB3 this year.

The Bengals need a win on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Steelers to keep their playoff hopes alive. Burrow is an elite lineup option, especially considering he finished as the weekly QB11 in their first meeting this season.

He is joined by Baker Mayfield, who has also been having an incredible 2024 fantasy football season. The stakes are high for him this week as a win over the New Orleans Saints would clinch the NFC South division title and a playoff spot for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He ranks as the overall QB5 this year and finished as the weekly QB2 in his first game against them this season, so he is a strong choice for fantasy lineups.

Caleb Williams has been having an inconsistent 2024 fantasy football season with the Chicago Bears, which is to be expected for a rookie quarterback. He has finished as the QB9 or better five times this year but draws a difficult matchup against the Green Bay Packers this week. He finished as the weekly QB21 against them earlier this year, making him a fade this week.

Another player to avoid in fantasy lineups this week is Geno Smith, who has been struggling in recent weeks for the Seattle Seahawks. He has finished among the top 20 weekly quarterbacks just once in his past seven games and has totaled just six touchdown passes during that stretch. He should be benched in the final week of the fantasy season.
