Week 18 of the 2024 fantasy football season represents the championship round of all leagues that have yet to complete their playoffs. Managers fortunate enough to still be playing at this point in the season will need to make sure that they put out the best lineup possible. Here are some of the best wide receivers to target and fade in order to do so.
Week 18 Fantasy Football WRs Start 'Em picks
Mike Evans has been on an elite stretch for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in recent weeks, finishing as the weekly WR5 or better in fantasy football in three of his past five games. He has also scored multiple touchdowns in two of his past three games ahead of his matchup against the New Orleans Saints this week.

Evans' current form and favorable matchup make him one of the best overall wide receivers to target.
He is joined by Tee Higgins, who is also on a hot streak for the Cincinnati Bengals ahead of his game against the Pittsburgh Steelers this week. He has finished among the weekly top 15 wide receivers in each of his past three games, including an impressive WR1 finish last week when he scored three touchdowns.
Higgins is averaging eight receptions per game during this same stretch, making him an excellent option for fantasy lineups this week.

Week 18 Fantasy Football WRs Sit 'Em picks
Jayden Reed got off to an exciting start to the 2024 fantasy football season, finishing as the weekly WR1 and WR2 in just his first four games of the year. He has remained an important part of the Green Bay Packers' offense since then, but it hasn't produced the same elite results, including just one more finish of WR10 or better.
His inconsistent production makes him a fade from fantasy lineups this week when he takes on the Chicago Bears.
Another wide receiver to avoid this week is DK Metcalf, who has similarly struggled in recent weeks for the Seattle Seahawks. After finishing among the top ten weekly wide receivers three times in his first seven games, he has now finished outside of the top 30 in six of his past seven games.
He has also failed to record 50 yards in three of the past four weeks, so he should be benched against the Los Angeles Rams in fantasy football this week.
Must Sits
- Jayden Reed
- DK Metcalf
- Josh Downs
DFS Fades
- Calvin Ridley
- Adam Thielen
- Deebo Samuel
