Week 8 Fantasy Football Sleepers TEs edition: options for non-Travis Kelce owners including Taysom Hill
Week 8 Fantasy Football Sleepers TEs edition

Taysom Hill might beg to differ, but there's only one Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews in the NFL. As such, tight end can be one of the trickiest positions to fill for the have-nots.

Luckily, it is also one of the most overlooked places to find points as wide receivers and running backs get plucked like the last few feathers on a golden goose. Here are a few options available worth taking a peek at.

Week 8 Fantasy Football Sleepers: TEs

Jonnu Smith, Atlanta Falcons

Jonnu Smith is only available in about half of leagues, per ESPN's numbers, but snag the Atlanta Falcons tight end now if he's available.

It defies logic, as the backup tight end to Kyle Pitts is putting up starting wide receiver numbers, but don't bite the hand that feeds you. He's currently ranked 10th in half-PPR leagues and has earned at least 7.5 points in three of the last four weeks.

In two of the last four weeks, he's been a double-digit player, earning 12.5 and 11.6 points. One caveat to picking Smith was that he earned 4.2 points in a quarter on Sunday, but disappeared from the stat sheet. This could signal a downturn or be just a simple anomaly.

As it stands, it was his second-lowest score of the season.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints

Tight end, running back, and quarterback Taysom Hill might be listed as a tight end in some leagues. If that's the case in yours, it would be smart to strongly consider him.

In Thursday Night Football, there was a key possession when Alvin Kamara failed to finish a goal-line push with multiple consecutive shots. Hill was inserted into the lineup and instantly scored.

As such, his stock could be elevating, especially for those hoping to lock in a touchdown magnet. Taysom Hill is currently rostered in 5.6% of leagues.

Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

He's no Rob Gronkowski, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' starting tight end had six targets and five catches on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. It was one of his best games of the season after his excellent display in Week 4. He has also already had his bye, taking one worry off the table.

However, Cade Otton has been boom or bust, earning under three points three times this season. He's earned more than 6.5 points three times as well.

Otton might not win your league, but he could be a decent option to get through a bye week or a couple of games until something better comes along.
