What is Brett Hundley's net worth? XFL Salary and contract breakdown for the league's highest-paid player

New Orleans Saints v Green Bay Packers
Brett Hundley #7 of the Green Bay Packers celebrates a touchdown with fans during the second quarter against the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field on October 22, 2017 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

American quarterback Brett Hundley has an estimated net worth of $4 million. Hundley's net worth has been earned almost exclusively through his NFL career, which has seen him represent the Green Bay Packers and, most recently, the Arizona Cardinals as an elite backup. The Packers drafted the soon-to-be thirty-year-old shot caller in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft after a fruitful college career at UCLA.

Since being drafted, he has played for two NFL teams exclusively as a backup to Aaron Rodgers (in Green Bay) and Kyler Murray (in Arizona).

Brett Hundley was one of the top quarterback prospects in his draught class, where he established himself as a skilled passer and elusive pocket threat. These tools enabled him to dominate the college scene and eventually be selected in the NFL Draft. This form, however, has yet to be translated to the professional level. Since his debut for the Packers in 2016, he has played in only eighteen NFL games.

How much is Brett Hundley earning in the 2023 XFL?

Brett Hundley will earn $200,000 playing for the Vegas Vipers in the 2023 XFL season. According to reports, he is the highest-paid player in the league, and Vipers fans will be hoping that he brings XFL success at the end of the tournament. Hundley has played NFL games for the Green Bay and Arizona Cardinals in his largely unremarkable NFL career.

All his games came as either an injury relief or a reserve. Aside from his time spent with the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals, Hundley has been a part of the Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens, and New Orleans Saints, despite not playing a single snap for the above-mentioned teams.

He will appear in the XFL for the first time as he looks to steer his once-promising football career back to the right path. Hundley knows that NFL scouts and fans are watching, so he will likely be playing his socks off for another chance in the league.

Brett Hundley's NFL Career Timeline and Stats

Brett Hundley was drafted by the Green Bay Packers with the 147th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Upon signing with the iconic NFL side, he signed a four-year rookie scale contract with the Packers. Hundley served as a non-playing backup for the first two years of his NFL spell before incumbent Green Bay starter Aaron Rodgers hurt his collarbone on October 15, 2017.

This allowed Hundley to run in the side, and he did well with the opportunity he was given. In the 2017 NFL season, Hundley had a total of 1,836 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. At the end of the 2017 season, Aaron Rodgers returned to the starting lineup, and Hundley was demoted to the bench.

Hundley was later traded to the Arizona Cardinals for a sixth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. His time with the Cardinals was mainly spent backing up the 2019 NFL Draft number one pick, Kyler Murray, who was taken first overall out of Oklahoma State University.

Hundley put up a stat line of 49 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions as a backup for the Cardinals in the 2019 NFL season. The Cardinals released him at the end of the season. Hundley hasn't played a snap in the NFL since.
