Derrick Henry has enjoyed a fabulous start to the 2024 season. The running back, who signed for the Baltimore Ravens in the offseason, already has 1,052 yards on 168 carries and scored 11 touchdowns in just nine games.

Although Henry is in his first season with the Ravens, he previously spent eight years with the Tennessee Titans. Despite entering his 30s earlier this year, the 2020 Offensive Player of the Year is proving that he is still one of the best and fittest players in the league.

When Derrick Henry was running riot for Baltimore against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, FOX Sports' sideline reporter Tom Rinaldi said that the player spends over $250,000 per year just to keep himself in optimum shape for the season.

"He spends more than a quarter million dollars on what he calls body maintenance," Rinaldi said. "No fried food, no dairy, no gluten, no artificial sugars. Doesn't eat until four or five o'clock during the season, maybe has a banana or avocado before practice."

Henry's financial advisor Pete Kotos said that Henry employs a personal chef who prepares all of the players' meals. He also said Henry doesn’t eat his first meal until 4 or 5 p.m. during the NFL season.

Per Kotos, Henry eats only one other meal, usually around 8 p.m. and in the offseason, he has his first meal at around 1 p.m. to ensure that he follows a disciplined routine. However, when Henry eats, he makes sure to get enough nourishment to keep himself ready for challenges on the gridiron.

In an interview with The Athletic, Henry offered an insight into his diet plan:

“I probably eat three chicken breasts, some rice and broccoli. Henry said. "Then I have some gluten-free pancakes, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, home fries and some steak.”

When he needs some sustenance before practice sessions, Henry reportedly has a kale, an avocado, or a banana. Furthermore, thrice a week, Henry will take IV fluids with a shot of vitamin E, Coenzyme Q10 as well as other nutrients to remain in pristine shape.
