Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets will try to finish the 2024 NFL season on the strongest possible note and win the last two matchups of the regular season. The veteran quarterback, who has dealt with several injuries during the campaign, is adding another one to the list ahead of the Buffalo Bills game on Sunday.

After losing the 11th game of the season against the LA Rams in Week 16, they have no chance to even tie their 2023 record. The duel against the Bills (12-3), who are fighting to clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC, won't be much easier for Rodgers and Co. (4-11)

Going with another injury against one of the best teams in the conference and the league might not be a good idea, but Rodgers isn't backing down to any challenge.

Aaron Rodgers' injury update: What happened to Jets' star QB?

On Tuesday, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich told reporters that Aaron Rodgers is now dealing with a knee injury he sustained during the loss to the Rams.

Rodgers hasn't missed a single game for the Jets, starting in each of the 15 matchups they've played, including the first duel against the Bills in Week 6 (a 23-20 home loss) when they were still alive in the playoff race.

He's dealt with several injuries during the season, and this one doesn't seem to be the one that will keep him on the sideline. Ulbrich didn't confirm or deny whether Rodgers would be available for Sunday but leaned more on the option of seeing the four-time MVP take the field.

"In all honesty, it's just too early to tell," Ulbrich said. "If I'm a betting man, I'm betting on Aaron Rodgers to play."

Moreover, Rodgers said that he would be there and even added that his knee feels "pretty good."

"I'm going to play and it feels pretty good," he said.

The New York Jets have been one of the biggest disappointments of the 2024 NFL season, and Rodgers' inability to win games has played a major role in their poor record.

They were expected to finally become contenders after years of subpar play, but the season unfolded in a completely different way. They released coach Robert Saleh in October and general manager Joe Douglas in November and nothing changed. And recent rumors suggest owner Woody Johnson will part ways with Aaron Rodgers in the offseason.

Nevertheless, A-Rod is still ready to go to try to close the season in the best possible way.
