The Cleveland Browns selected Johnny Manziel in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft. However, he only played in the league for two seasons.

Manziel told ESPN in 2022 that he has "come to terms" with his turbulent NFL career. He said:

"I no longer have the motivation to play football at a high level. I'm fine with the fact that I no longer have the same passion for football as I once did. I'm trying to find out how to continue to be involved in the game, but from a different position."

More recently, Manziel revealed in a clip from his Netflix documentary, 'Untold: Johnny Football,' that he considered taking his own life in 2016.

"I had planned to do everything I wanted to do at that point in my life, spend as much money as I possibly could and then my plan was to take my life,” Manziel says in the documentary, per The Athletic."

Manziel's documentary will go live on Netflix on August 8.
