Minnesota Vikings cornerback Khyree Jackson, who spent his college football career at Fort Scott, Alabama and Oregon, is dead at the age of 24. The Vikings' 2024 fourth-round pick died in a car accident on Friday.
According to TMZ, Khyree's mother, Ebbony Jackson, confirmed his untimely passing.
Furthermore, a total of three lives were lost in the automobile accident that claimed Khyree's life. According to the Maryland State Police, Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Lytton were the other two victims of the crash.

Jackson, the front-seat passenger, was declared dead on scene by the medical personnel. Lytton, who was transferred to a hospital, died soon after.
The group of three were traveling in a maroon-colored Dodge Charger. Two other cars (an Infinity Q50 and an Impala) were involved in the crash. As per police reports, the Infinity allegedly changed lanes while driving at high speed, crashing into the Charger.
Charges and investigation is still pending.
Who was Khyree Jackson?
Khyree Jackson was a top-notch football prospect from his high school days at Wise High School. He chose to start his collegiate football career at Fort Scott Community College. Jackson spent one year there before earning a scholarship offer from the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Jackson played cornerback for Nick Saban's side. He started as a backup cornerback, receiving most of his playing time on special teams. In Year 1 at Bama, he amassed seven tackles and two pass breakups across 12 games.
Jackson experienced a reduced role in his second year with the Crimson Tide. He appeared in only nine games, with one start. In Year 2, he recorded seven tackles, including one for loss (-2 yards). Following that season, he decided to enter the transfer portal.
Khyree Jackson transferred to Oregon to play collegiate football for the Oregon Ducks. He started all 12 games for the Ducks and was one of their best players in the 2023 season.
He earned Associated Press All-Pac-12 first-team honors after recording 34 total tackles (25 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, and three interceptions.
Jackson entered the 2024 NFL draft. His collegiate performances led to the Minnesota Vikings drafting him in the fourth round. His death will leave a hole for the franchise to fill ahead of the upcoming season.
