Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Trent Brown hurt his right knee in Week 3's Monday Night Football matchup against the Washington Commanders. The Bengals are 0-3 to start the season.
In response to a question regarding the right tackle's condition during his post-game press conference, Bengals coach Zac Taylor said:
"It doesn't look good.”
According to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, Brown's injury is season-ending. Schultz reported Tuesday that testing has finally verified what many feared. Brown's knee injury appeared severe when it first occurred and it has proven to be the case. Brown tore his patellar tendon and will undergo season-ending surgery

The Bengals signed the 31-year-old tackle this summer with the intention of strengthening their offensive line. Brown signed a $4.75 million, one-year contract after playing with the New England Patriots for the last three seasons. He started the season as the starting RT in the first three games.
Trent Brown injury update: What happened to the Bengals' RT?
Trent Brown suffered a knee injury while blocking defensive lineman Dorance Armstrong during the second quarter of Monday night's 38-33 loss to the Washington Commanders.
As soon as the OT went down, he grabbed his right knee, and other teammates had to help him get onto the cart. He was then removed from the field on a medical cart with little more than six minutes left in the second quarter.
Brown was declared out for the game, which was the first indication that his injury was severe. After the game, he was spotted using crutches in the locker room. He had a full brace on his right leg.
It was assumed that Trent Brown's injury was an ACL tear. But it has been diagnosed as a torn patellar tendon that, will end his season prematurely.
Amarius Mims, a first-round pick in the 2024 draft, will be the Bengals' right tackle moving forward in the absence of Brown. A pectoral injury sustained during the preseason kept Mims out of the first two regular-season games as well.
