That season, he also ran for 185 yards and four touchdowns. A 23-4 record in his two seasons as a starter marked the successful conclusion of his college football career. For the Alabama Crimson Tide, Young passed for a total of 8,356 yards and 80 touchdowns. His rookie year was the one to forget as he led the Panthers to an abysmal 2-14 record in his 16 starts while throwing for 2,877 yards. He was benched two games into his sophomore season but was named the starter before week 8 of the 2024 NFL season. In 8 games in 2024 (six starts), Young has a TD: INT ratio of 5:6 as of November 2024.
