Peter Skoronski is an offensive tackle in American Football and plays for the Northwestern Wildcats. He was born on 31 July 2001 in Park Ridge, Illinois. His grandfather, Bob Skoronski, also a tackle, had an exceptional career in the NFL winning 5 championships with the Green Bay Packers.

Skoronski had an excellent 2022 college season with the Wildcats as a true junior. He has entered the NFL draft and aims to jump straight into the league and pick up from where he left off in college. A highlight of his 2022 season is that he gave up only a single sack in all the games he played.

Peter Skoronski played the left tackle position in the offensive line for Northwestern. He has wonderful technique and a good sense of what a lineman's job is. His abilities include strength, fast footwork, hand-fighting skills and positional know-how, all of which enable him to protect the blind side. Peter is also extremely alert on the field not allowing the defense to fool him with trick plays. He understands quickly what the defense is doing and has the ability to adjust immediately.

At the NFL Combine, he ranked 1st and 4th in the production and athleticism score respectively. The only worrying factor is that his body type, size and shorter arms might see him get shifted to the guard position. All in all, he has been rated as a Year 1 starter for any team that requires a good, young offensive lineman.

Peter Skoronski at Maine South High School

Skoronski attended Maine South High School where he played the center position. He was instrumental in Maine South winning 3 consecutive CSL conference championships. Skoronski had great production for his team over the course of his high school football career. He earned All-State honors consecutively in 2018 and 2019. He was also the 2019 team captain.

By the end of his high school career, Peter had 173 pancake blocks. A pancake block is a block executed by an offensive lineman which causes the defender to end up flat on his back. 247Sports ranked him as the number 4 center nationally and the number 2 player in Illinois. Peter was also rated a 4-star prospect coming out of high school.

Peter Skoronski at Northwestern University

Skoronski had offers to attend other Universities such as Duke, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Stanford, but ultimately chose Northwestern as his destination. As per Peter Skoronski’s LinkedIn page, it shows that he studied Economics at Northwestern. As a true Freshman in his first year in 2020 at Northwestern University, Peter started all the games for the team. He was a big part of the offensive line which allowed only 1.29 sacks per game. His contribution was also immense in the rushing department as the Wildcats ran for 16 touchdowns and an average of 162 yards per game.

Building on his tremendous Freshman season, Peter continued to excel and develop his game in his Sophomore and Junior seasons as well. His efforts garnered him multiple Team of the Week selections by PFF. He ended 2022 as a finalist for the Outland Trophy; an award that recognizes the college’s best interior lineman on offense and defense.
