The Buffalo Bills will square off against the Denver Broncos this weekend in the first round of the 2024 playoffs, giving quarterback Josh Allen an opportunity to raise his career playoff record above .500.
Allen has been with the Bills since they selected him with the seventh overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He hasn't been able to lead Buffalo to a Super Bowl since then - the furthest they have gone was in the 2020 season, when they advanced to the AFC Championship Game.
The Bills will hope to go all the way this season, especially as they have once again performed like one of the league's top teams during the regular season. After finishing with a 13-4 record, the Bills secured the No. 2 spot in the AFC playoffs and won their division for the fifth consecutive season.

What is Josh Allen's playoff record?
Josh Allen is 5-5 in the playoffs going into his matchup with the Denver Broncos in the Wild Card round.
In his second season in the league, he made his first postseason appearance against the Houston Texans in the 2019 season, which Buffalo lost narrowly, 22-19. Even though the star quarterback accumulated 356 total yards, the Bills finished second-best.
In the 2020 season, Allen helped the Bills beat the Indianapolis Colts 27-24 in the Wild Card round, earning him his first postseason victory.
Josh Allen and Buffalo built on that win with another over the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional round, setting up a showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. However, Allen was unable to make it three straight victories, as Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs beat the Bills 38-24.
When Buffalo beat the New England Patriots in the Wild Card round of the 2021 playoffs, Allen achieved his third victory. But he suffered his third playoff defeat in the following round, when the Bills fell again to Mahomes and the Chiefs in the Divisional round.
In the first round of the 2022 playoffs, Allen and the Bills eliminated the Miami Dolphins in the Wild Card Round, but the Cincinnati Bengals beat them in the Divisional round. The star quarterback only ran for 26 yards and threw for 264 yards with one interception during the defeat.
Allen's fifth win in the playoffs came in the 2023 season's Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had the chance to go 6-4 with a win over the Chiefs in the Divisional round, but the Bills fell to Kansas City again in Mahomes' first road playoff game.
Josh Allen has a 5-2 home record but has gone 0-3 on the road in the playoffs. When the Bills meet the Broncos at Highmark Stadium on Wild Card Weekend, he will get the opportunity to improve his home playoff record.
