Mac Jones is the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots. He has been leading the Patriots since last year and has a strong chance of playing for them in the long-term.

The Patriots are having a rough season and are currently last in their AFC East division with a 6-6 record. The Patriots suffered a 10-24 loss against the Buffalo Bills in Week 13 where Mac Jones threw for 195 yards with a passing touchdown.

It did not go well for Jones, as he had been fined for his unsportsmanlike conduct in the previous game. The NFL has fined QB Mac Jones $10,609. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, after he was sacked, Jones flung the ball towards Bill's pass rusher A.J. Epenesa and struck him.

Jones wasn't called for a move on goal-to-go play, but the league chose to take disciplinary action after reviewing the post-play activities.

A video went viral earlier this week showing Jones criticizing the offense after the Patriots' defeat to the Bills. Jones said after the game that he "kind of let his emotions get to him," in the heat of the moment. He was heard yelling that he wanted to move away from the Patriots' brisk throwing.

"I shouted that out to kind of get everyone going. That's emotional. That's football. I'm passionate about this game. Obviously, you don't want to let your emotions get the best of you. But yeah, I think that's pretty much it."

Mac Jones has started in all nine games he has played this season. He has 1,963 passing yards, seven touchdowns, seven interceptions, and a pass completion percentage of 65.1.
