Robert Woods will now enter his 11th NFL season after participating in 142 games. He has caught 623 of the 988 throws sent his way, giving him a career catch rate of 63.1%. He has caught passes for 12.2 yards on average, totaling 7,604 yards. His average game catch rate is 4.4, and his average game receiving yardage is 53.5. Woods has accumulated 37 career receiving touchdowns.
Before joining the Titans, Woods played for the Los Angeles Rams for five seasons. He recorded 367 catches for 4,626 receiving yards, and 23 scores, including two years with 1,000+ receiving yards. This is all in addition to his Super Bowl ring with them.
Robert Woods’ NFL timeline
Robert Woods was a unanimous All-American while playing college football for USC. The Buffalo Bills selected him in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft. Before joining his current team, the Texans, he went on to play for the Los Angeles Rams and the Tennessee Titans.
Woods had his best seasons when he had consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns with the Rams in 2018-19 and 2019-20. Ever since, as a result of the injuries he's sustained over the last few seasons, his statistics have declined. Before joining the Titans last season, he was recovering from an ACL tear.
With the Texans holding the No. 2 overall choice in the NFL draft this year, Woods is expected to offer a reliable, experienced target for any quarterback they might select.
Jimmy Garoppolo, a former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, has also reportedly caught the attention of the franchise. He would offer a seasoned figure to give the young quarterback more time to get used to playing in the NFL.
