Stetson Bennett played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Jones County Bobcats. Before moving to Jones County Junior College, he started his career as a walk-on at the University of Georgia. Bennett later returned to Georgia and won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022.
While Bennett may not be as tall as some quarterbacks in his class, his 29-3 record as Georgia's starting QB speaks volumes. In his most recent collegiate performance, Stetson Bennett stole the show by leading the Bulldogs to their second straight national title.
The Bulldogs also became the first team to repeat since Alabama won back-to-back titles 10 years ago. Bennett shone in Georgia's 65-7 demolition of TCU in the college football playoff final. He threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns while also scoring two touchdowns on the ground.

Bennett officially owns several records, including the most passing yards ever in a single season in team history.
Bennett won four playoff games throughout two postseasons and 25 of the last 26 games he started, for a total of 28 victories. He completed 67.8% of his throws, threw just one interception, and scored 15 total TDs. In his final season, he outclassed four of the top five QB candidates eligible for the NFL draft in April: Will Levis, Hendon Hooker, C.J. Stroud, and Anthony Richardson.
Will Stetson Bennett be drafted into the NFL in April?
Despite Bennett's success, his age and physical build (5'11", 190 lbs.) might prevent him from being a top draft candidate. Even the quarterback's eligibility for the draft is up for debate.
Stetson Bennett notched up victories over Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, and Will Levis during his time as a Bulldog, but he won't be near these quarterbacks who are expected to be picked in the first round.
In response to a question about what he would say to the NFL before being picked, Stetson Bennett said:
"Hard worker, decent football player, and intelligent, but they'll notice that. It will be handled automatically."
The truth is that he has more than gained the privilege of being given a chance, even if he isn't an NFL franchise starting QB.
