Former NFL player Terry Bradshaw speaks onstage

NFL legend Terry Bradshaw was on commentary duties for Fox Sports when he invited two-time Super Bowl-winning coach Andy Reid for an interview following his side's Super Bowl LVII win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Then, Bradshaw remarked that people had been flaming him over the past 20 hours.

Bradshaw said to Reid,

"Big guy. Let me get the big guy in here. Come on, waddle over here." As if that wasn't enough, Bradshaw ended the short and awkward interview by telling Reid, Have a cheeseburger on us."

These remarks have led to a slew of backlash against Bradshaw, as people have tagged him with some unflattering labels. Some have labeled him a fat shamer, others have called him a senior citizen hater and many other things.

The bottom line is that being a Hall of Fame QB cannot excuse you from some insensitive utterances, and Terry Bradshaw is currently finding out the hard way.

Taking a closer look at what Bradshaw commented on Reid's post-game interview

Terry Bradshaw obviously thought that the way he addressed Andy Reid was cute, endearing, or some other adjective that could denote being friendly. Unfortunately, the majority of people who viewed the interview left with a bitter aftertaste.

The interview wasn't conducted in the best form, and it can be argued that Andy Reid and the Chiefs deserved better from a serial winner in Bradshaw. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

The closer we look at the interview, mannerisms and all-around demeanor from both parties, it is clear that there were no hard feelings. Bradshaw probably felt he did nothing wrong, and Andy Reid couldn't care less about being told to waddle over.

The legendary coach was so glad to win another Super Bowl and do so at the expense of a team that let him go unceremoniously. Bradshaw's comments might have been unwelcome, but it probably felt like water off a duck's back.

How good was Terry Bradshaw as a Quarterback?

Before Terry Bradshaw became a television analyst and public figure, he was among the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. Bradshaw led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Super Bowl titles in six years from 1974 to 1979. He was an absolute unit on the Gridiron, and some people see him as the first true dual-threat QB in NFL history.

Bradshaw was famous for saving his best performances for the Super Bowl. He accumulated a Super Bowl stat line of 932 passing yards and nine touchdowns.

His regular season stat line wasn't bad either, as he totaled 27,989 passing yards and 212 touchdowns. True to his dual-threat ability, Bradshaw rushed for 2,257 yards and 32 rushing touchdowns. He was arguably the best quarterback of his generation.
