What is Will Levis’ 40 time? Comparing with Malik Willis’ 40 time

Before the 2023 NFL Draft, quarterback Will Levis of the Tennessee Titans was viewed as a first-round pick. However, he slid to the second round and the Titans selected him 33rd overall. What in Levis' scouting report led to the creation of his first-round estimate?

The 2023 NFL Combine saw the Kentucky product skip the 40-yard dash. But, Sports Daily estimates that he ran in the 4.7 zone, which is still a decent performance for a player his stature.

Levis did take part in other drills, though. In the explosiveness drills, he was very impressive—among quarterbacks, only Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts had a better broad jump.

Levis has taken a back seat behind Ryan Tannehill since joining the Titans. Furthermore, the Titans still have Malik Willis, who is a candidate for the QB2 position even if Tannehill falls and loses his starting position.

Willis, who the Titans selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft, did not take part in the NFL Combine's 40-yard sprint exercise either. But according to Thor Nystrom of Fantasy Pros, the 24-year-old ran a 40-yard sprint in 4.37 seconds during his sophomore year at Auburn—a very quick time for a quarterback.

Willis' speed is evident on the field, thus it is not shocking that his estimated time is in the area of 4.4.

Will Levis could start his first NFL game in Week 8

The Tennessee Titans are getting ready to start rookie quarterback Will Levis against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8, as reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Levis is a gifted prospect who was selected 33rd overall in the most recent NFL draft.

On Tuesday, the head coach of Tennessee, Mike Vrabel stated that in case quarterback Ryan Tannehill is unable to recover from an ankle sprain, both Levis and Malik Willis could play on Sunday.

Willis performed well in Tannehill's place in London during the Titans' trip to England to play the Baltimore Ravens. So, many people shouldn't be shocked that Levis is favoured to start against the Falcons.
