Zach Wilson's long-term future with the New York Jets remains uncertain. However, the quarterback will start for the team once again in their Week 16 clash against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday.
Wilson signed a mammoth four-year, $35,150,681 contract with the New York outfit in 2021. The deal included a $22,924,132 signing bonus.
In 2022, Wilson is expected to earn a whopping $2,257,758, and will have a cap hit of $7,988,791 as well as a dead cap value of $28,759,647.

As per reports, Wilson is worth a staggering $12 million. Prior to joining the NFL, Wilson signed endorsement deals with Nike and Chipotle.
He played three seasons of college football at BYU. In his first year, Wilson helped his team win the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. He won the MVP award for his spectacular display against the Western Michigan Broncos, throwing for 317 yards and four touchdowns.
In 2020, BYU faced the UCF Knights in the Boca Raton Bowl and Wilson once again came up with the goods. He completed 26 of his 34 passes for 425 yards and three touchdowns, winning the MVP award for that game as well.
Wilson completed his college football career with 7,652 passing yards on 566 completions and only 15 interceptions. He also rushed for 642 yards and managed 15 rushing touchdowns.

Wilson has found life difficult in his second season with the New York Jets. The 23-year-old has managed a rather underwhelming 1,596 passing yards with six touchdowns and six interceptions across six games. He also has just 101 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
The Jets are currently 7-7 with three regular-season games remaining. Robert Saleh's side can still clinch a wild card entry into the playoffs if they win all of their remaining games.
