Greg Jennings was once Aaron Rodgers' top offensive target when both played for the Green Bay Packers, from 2006 until 2012. In 2019, Jennings revealed that he wasn't on good terms with the quarterback when he departed the Packers after the 2012 NFL season.

Jennings' revelation came as part of an in-depth story done by Bleacher Report in 2019. The former wide receiver recalled a matchup against the San Francisco 49ers during the 2012 NFL season.

He said that the 49ers cornerback Carlos Rodgers asked him about running short routes during the game, which Jennings jokingly blamed on his contract year.

He then said that Rodgers walked up into the conversation and shocked him by suggesting he should go play for the 49ers the following season.

"You guys should get him at the end of the year."-Rodgers said according to Jennings.

The former wide receiver said he walked back to the Green Bay Packers huddle confused and upset by what his quarterback and teammate had suggested.

"I don't think he realizes what he said and the impact that it had. Had the shoe been on the other foot and I said, 'Hey, man, I should come and play with your quarterback', he would've been so offended by that. But when it comes out of his mouth — and we all know there's truth behind jokes — for him to say that and just act as though everything was the same? It just wasn't."-said Greg Jennings.

It was then that Greg Jennings realized that his time with the Green Bay Packers was indeed coming to a close after the season. The wide receiver then went on to sign with the Minnesota Vikings in 2013.

Greg Jennings believes Aaron Rodgers 'has too much input' with Jets

Greg Jennings and Aaron Rodgers haven't played together since 2012. Time has changed the former wide receiver's opinion of the now New York Jets quarterback. After Robert Saleh's dismissal from the New York Jets two weeks ago, Jennings spoke about Aaron Rodgers' role in the Jets' decision-making on 'Breakfast Ball'.

Jennings felt that Rodgers influenced Jets' owner Woody Johnson to part ways with Robert Saleh.

"And when you have empowered a player in the way that they have, and this goes from Robert Saleh to Hackett, obviously, and all the way up to Woody Johnson, because for them to have a conversation, it tells me that he has too much say, he has too much input on things that he really shouldn't have input on."-said Jennings.

Greg Jennings stood by his idea that Aaron Rodgers is and will continue to be the biggest issue with the New York Jets.
