When is Dallas Goedert coming back? Fantasy outlook for Eagles TE ahead of Week 16

Dallas Goedert was activated from injured reserve onto the 53-man Philadelphia Eagles roster on Tuesday. There is a good chance that the tight end could feature in the game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16.

Goedert was expected to return in Week 15, but he wasn't cleared to play against the Chicago Bears. The 27-year-old hadn't played in the NFL since Week 10 when the Eagles lost their only game to the Washington Commanders.

Goedert suffered a shoulder injury in the defeat against the Commanders. Washington linebacker Jamin Davis brutally brought down the Eagles star with his helmet. Scans later confirmed that Goedert had a minor fracture to the glenoid of the shoulder.

Although the impact and injury looked scary at the time, Goedert claimed that his shoulder wasn't dislocated.

The tight end is now on course to start for the Eagles in their crunch NFC East matchup against the Cowboys on Saturday. His return also provides Philadelphia with a significant boost ahead of the playoffs.

The Eagles are currently 13-1, leading the NFC East standings. Another win in the regular season would guarantee Nick Sirianni's side the divisional title. Philadelphia will hope to seal the deal against the Cowboys.

Goedert also has his best FPPG season this term. He has been able to rack up 70.4 fantasy points, averaging 7.8 FPPG. However, we suggest you avoid picking Goedert as a starter in Week 16.
