Miami Dolphins offseason addition Odell Beckham Jr. has been recovering from an injury that has held him out of all of OTAs, training camp, and the preseason. As a result, he was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list to begin the season.

However, it now seems that the veteran wide receiver's Dolphins career may take a positive turn in the coming days, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that he should be back in the mix this week.

As we wrap up Week 4 of the NFL regular season, teams all over the league can officially begin the 21-day practice window for players who were placed on PUP at the beginning of the season.

“I’ve seen some good progress, and I’m optimistic for when his window opens up and we will see how his body responds. I do know that there’s been some very intentional good work and that he hasn’t had the setbacks that we’ve made sure to avoid,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel stated last Tuesday regarding Beckham's recuperation (per Yahoo Sports).

The Dolphins' Week 4 matchup against the Tennessee Titans is set for Monday night. They will then play the New England Patriots in Week 5. While that game might come too soon for OBJ, he can be ready to get back on the field in Week 7.

With the Dolphins off in Week 6 (bye), Odell Beckham might be able to wrap up his prep work and join the team in Week 7. When he returns to full health and starts to play again, he will be the third wide receiver after Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Odell Beckham's injury update: What happened to the Miami Dolphins' WR?

Although the exact nature of the injury that sent Odell Beckham to the PUP list has never been completely revealed, Dolphins supporters can be thrilled about the possibility of adding him to a receiving group that has looked unimpressive as a whole through the first three weeks of the season.

Beckham is eligible to be taken off the PUP list after Miami's Week 4 matchup with the Titans. In Week 5, if all goes according to plan, the former New York Giants wide receiver might play against the Patriots.

OBJ, who played for the Baltimore Ravens last season, signed a one-year contract worth $3 million with the Dolphins during the offseason. Even though he hasn't played since the move, once he is back at 100%, he should have a significant impact on the offense.
