Travis Kelce is one of the greatest pass-catching tight ends in NFL history, winning three Super Bowls. He is also one of the sport's biggest personalities, not only because of his relationship with Taylor Swift but also because of his boisterous, hard-partying ways.
Once upon a time, however, the Kansas City Chiefs thought he was too boisterous for his own good. In July 2021, he told Dan LeBatard (skip to 6:24 below):
“I think early on in my career, I was probably a little too wild — I had to reel it back a little bit, figure out my lane. And I had to grow up a little bit.”

But even with such diminution, he felt that his boisterousness was apt for a mid-market place like Kansas City.

“I don’t want to say it’s a small market because I love Kansas City fans; it’s awesome — we got a huge fan base. But it’s definitely a smaller city, so it’s not that much activity, not that much going on. So, a big personality, yeah it might shock the city,” he added.
Tom Brady consulted Travis Kelce for broadcasting advice
Outside of his exploits on the gridiron, Travis Kelce has been hosting the New Heights podcast with his elder brother Jason every Wednesday since 2022. There, he retains his showmanship without being overly loud to the point of obnoxiousness.
A former rival has turned to him as he progresses through the first few months as a sportscaster.
On Sunday morning, OK! learned that former Super Bowl-winning quarterback and Fox's analyst Tom Brady approached the tight end about improving his appeal in terms of both his technique and presentability inside the booth. An insider said:
“You gotta hand it to Tom — he knows when he needs help and he knows exactly where to go to ask for it ... He’s gently quizzed Travis for tips on how to be quick on his feet and keep the commentary exciting for fans. It’s about showmanship and Tom knows it.”
Brady would call the Buffalo Bills' win at the Seattle Seahawks later in the afternoon. His next assignment is expected to be the Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers game.
