Wide receiver Tyreek Hill and the Kansas City Chiefs lost Super Bowl LV to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the latter's home field. The 31-9 loss came as the Buccaneers defense overtook Patrick Mahomes and his offense, leaving no room to get the ball downfield.

A few months after the loss, in July 2021, Tyreek Hill told TMZ that the loss still stung. He said that he felt the Chiefs were embarrassed on live television. That feeling had led to him grinding all offseason that year to make sure it never happened again.

"Man, you know what, man? I've been grinding my tail off ever since that loss. I feel like we was kind of embarrassed on national TV during the biggest game, you know, in the last game of the year," Hill told TMZ.

Hill concluded that the loss only fueled him and his teammates to get back to the Super Bowl and not experience anything like that again.

"We definitely don't want to go down that route again. We'll be back," Hill said.

The wide receiver would then go on to play just one more season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021 before he was traded the Miami Dolphins.

Tyreek Hill posted cryptic message after Chiefs traded for DeAndre Hopkins

Tyreek Hill is in his third season with the Miami Dolphins after spending six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. As the Chiefs dealt with injuries at the wide receiver position, rumors circulated that Hill could reunite with his former team. He brushed off those rumors and insisted he was happy with the Dolphins.

Last week, the Chiefs made a trade with the Tennessee Titans to acquire veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Just hours after the trade was made official, Hill decided to post a cryptic post with just the letters "hm" and nothing else.

With no other context to decipher what message the wide receiver was trying to convey, many didn't know what to think but could only assume it had to do with Hopkins' trade.

"hm," Hill wrote on X.

Hill and the Dolphins have lost the last two games and are now 2-5 on the season.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returned in Week 8 after dealing with his latest concussion, which has sent the Dolphins offense into a tailspin and decreased Hill's production.
