When does the Chicago Bears' training camp start?

The NFL revealed the reporting dates for each team's training camp last week. The Chicago Bears will be one of the teams that returns to camp first.

First-year players are expected back at Halas Hall in Lake Forest on July 16 before veteran players report on July 19. Fans will not, however, be able to see the Bears practice at Halas Hall until July 26.

The return dates for training camp for the majority of NFL clubs are set for July 23 and 24, but the Bears must start earlier than the others because they will play in the Hall of Fame game this year, which means they will have an additional preseason game.

A combined practice with the Cincinnati Bengals is scheduled for Aug. 16 as part of the Bears' training camp this year. The last day of Chicago's training camp is Aug. 29.

The Bears are expected to be the focus of attention at this year's training camp as they have been chosen to take part in NFL Film's "Hard Knocks" training camp series. The training camp will provide the Bears an opportunity to prepare physically and mentally for the start of the season in September.
