Green Bay Packers v New England Patriots

The NFL schedule for 2023–2024 will likely be released on Wednesday, May 12th, 2021, at 8 PM EST, with the schedule released on NFL Network. The schedule will let all franchises know their opponents for the 2023 NFL season.

By the time the schedule for the 2023 NFL season is released, all teams will have drafted their new players and will begin preparations for training camp. Before the scheduled release, let's look at five things about the 2023-24 season.

1. No Tom Brady for the first time in the Millennium

The New England Patriots drafted Tom Brady as the 199th overall pick of the 2000 NFL Draft. He was drafted as a fourth-string quarterback by the Bill Belichick-led Patriots and eventually became a legend in New England. Tom Brady became a certain first-ballot Hall of Famer in New England and retired from the NFL last season as one of the greatest players in the National Football League's history.

The records are there; Brady has the most passing yards, most touchdowns, most playoff wins, most Super Bowl wins, and most Super Bowl MVPs, among other records. Brady has more Super Bowl rings than Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Eli Manning put together, and he outlasted all of the Hall-of-Fame caliber quarterbacks mentioned above. However, he couldn't end his career as he would have liked, as his Tampa Bay Buccaneers team couldn't win the Super Bowl.

The 2023 season will be the first in over 20 years without having "TB12" lead as a Super Bowl favorite, and we are sure that most teams won't miss him. The National Football League will need to look for a new, squeaky-clean, elite QB to be the face of the league.

2. Does misery truly love company in Denver?

Russell Wilson's first season away from the Seattle Seahawks did not go as planned, as the future Hall of Famer was arguably the worst starting quarterback in the NFL. Wilson joined the Denver Broncos as the last piece of their postseason puzzle, but instead, the Broncos ended up in the lottery places for the 2023 Draft. However, the Broncos aren't going to have the chance to draft an elite prospect with that pick due to trading it in the Wilson trade.

The Broncos knew something was wrong, so they hired Super Bowl-winning head coach Sean Payton to lead them into the 2023 season. Sean Payton is an old-school coach with an amazing track record, and maybe that's what Wilson and the Broncos need to improve their fortunes. Trust us, the Denver Broncos don't have a poorly constructed roster, all they need is some stellar play from a certain Seahawks legend, and they will be good to go!

3. An end to the great Aaron Rodgers saga?

The Green Bay front office has gone on record over the past few days to state that they're readier than ever to move on from four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers. We have never seen a superstar quarterback as polarizing and frustrating as "AR12", but it comes with the package. Say what you want about Aaron Rodgers; the dude is a first-ballot Hall of Famer with a gold jacket waiting for him in Canton.

The 2023 season will give us some much-needed clarity regarding the status of Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers will either be retired, on another roster, or he may return to the Green Bay Packers for another tipsy-turvy season. One thing is for sure, it's an Aaron Rodgers world, and the rest of the league is merely living in it (pretty sure that's what AR12 thinks).
