Turner started his football journey at American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida, where he caught the attention of scouts with his remarkable defensive skills. Turner's junior year was particularly outstanding, as he earned the title of the area Defensive Player of the Year thanks to his remarkable 74 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, and three forced fumbles.
