Dallas had won two Super Bowls before Jones' ownership. However, he transformed the franchise into one of the most dominant teams in the 1990s.
Under Jones, the Cowboys won Super Bowl XXVII (in 1993), Super Bowl XXVIII (in 1994), and Super Bowl XXX (in 1996). He was named the NFL Executive of the Year in 2014 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
The Cowboys have made the playoffs 18 times under Jones' supervision. He also helped build a home new stadium, the AT&T Stadium for the team in 2009 when the Cowboys moved on from playing home games at the Texas Stadium.
However, since the Cowboys haven't won the Lombardi Trophy in the past 28 years, Jones has been scrutinized by some of the Dallas faithful.
The Cowboys have not had a great start to the 2024 season, but are showing signs of revival. They are currently 2nd in the NFC East with a 3-2 record after Week 5.
After losing two games in a row, the Cowboys beat the New York Giants 20-15 in Week 4 and recently took down the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-17 on Sunday. However, Jones will want his team to make another push for the playoffs this year, and potentially end the Cowboys' drought for the Super Bowl.
