The Browns didn't play well in their last game. They were trounced last Saturday by the Green Bay Packers, who dominated most of the game and won 23–10.
As for the Vikings, despite their spectacular victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1, they are still dealing with serious injuries. Their rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy suffered a season-ending knee injury. Wide receiver Jordan Addison has also suffered a foot injury that has made the team's miserable preseason even more problematic.
Will Deshaun Watson play for the Browns today?
Since QB1 Deshaun Watson is still recovering from a shoulder injury, Jameis Winston will start for the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. Watson won't be playing in the second preseason game, despite being allowed to participate in throwing drills every day this week in practice.
Watson will play in the Browns' last preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 24, against the Seattle Seahawks, confirmed by coach Kevin Stefanski.
Cleveland supporters will also get to see Dorian Thompson-Robinson play on Saturday. The quarterback who completed 14 of 18 attempts for 134 passing yards last week has another opportunity to prove himself as a solid backup.
Will Sam Darnold play for the Vikings today?
J.J. McCarthy of the Vikings is out for what may be the entire season due to an injury. This means that Sam Darnold will be in action today. The veteran quarterback completed 4 of 8 passes for 59 yards against the Vikings last week.
