Who will start at quarterback for the Commanders today?
Quarterback Jayden Daniels won't play today during the Commanders' preseason game against the New England Patriots. Now that the quarterback has been officially anointed as the team's QB1 for the season, it's probably the right decision to leave him out today to avoid any injuries.
Another quarterback who will not play is Marcus Mariota, who has a groin injury. This solidifies Jeff Driskel's position as the starting quarterback for tonight's preseason finale. Thus far in the preseason, Driskel has amassed 169 passing yards, 0 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.
Who will start at quarterback for the Patriots today?
New England Patriots coach Jerod Mayo has said all of his quarterbacks will play in the preseason game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday night.
Jacoby Brissett will start for the Patriots at center, according to Mayo on Friday. However, all of Drake Maye, Joe Milton and Bailey Zappe will feature in the matchup as New England wraps up its preseason slate tonight.
