Where will Taulia Tagovailoa get drafted? Projecting best fit for Maryland QB

The 2024 NFL Draft has certainly seen some surprises in terms of quarterbacks taken higher up the order. A total of six quarterbacks were off the board on Day 1 - Caleb Williams (Bears), Jayden Daniels (Commanders), Drake Maye (Patriots), Michael Penix Jr. (Falcons), J.J. McCarthy (Vikings) and Bo Nix (Broncos).

No quarterbacks, however, were taken on Day 2, leaving the likes of Taulia Tagovailoa and Spencer Rattler on the board.

So where will the Maryland QB be drafted heading into the final day of the 2024 NFL Draft?

Where will Taulia Tagovaila be drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft?

Sportskeeda's resident draft expert Tony Pauline was at hand at the Maryland Pro Day back in March where Taulia Tagovailoa was in action.

Here's what Pauline had to say about Tagovailoa:

"Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa threw for scouts and received tepid reviews. Tagovailoa showed little arm talent and his deep passes displayed little speed and even fluttered, according to those at hand."

Taulia Tagovailoa, in turn, did not get an invite to the NFL Combine.

At this point, it appears there's a very real possibility that he could end up as an undrafted free agent.

Heading into the draft, Tagovailoa ranked at #260 on Tony Pauline's big board of the top prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Tagovailoa wrapped up his Maryland career with 11,256 passing yards and 76 touchdowns on 67.1% accuracy but six quarterbacks are currently ahead of him in the pecking order heading into Day 3 of the draft:

1. QB Spencer Rattler
2. QB Michael Pratt
3. QB Joe Milton
4. QB Kedon Slovis
5. QB Jordan Travis
6. QB Sam Hartman

The Los Angeles Rams could be a potential destination for Tagovailoa. They currently have Jimmy Garoppolo behind Matthew Stafford which means Tagovailoa could be a camp option for Sean McVay who has a certified reputation as an offensive genius.

The Dolphins could potentially be another option, if nothing else, due to his relationship with Miami's QB Tua Tagovailoa. As things stand, however, things look bleak for the Maryland QB.
