5. Phoenix - Four
Phoenix has hosted four Super Bowls since 1996. The first time a stadium in Phoenix hosted the Super Bowl was in 1996, and that was the Sun Devil Stadium.
However, another stadium has taken the mantle in the city of Phoenix.The State Farm Stadium has hosted three Super Bowls in 2008, 2015 and 2023.
4. Tampa, Florida - Five
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might have two Super Bowls in their trophy cabinet. Their most recent win was inspired by Tom Brady. But do you know that Tampa has hosted five big games?
That's right, first it was the Tampa Stadium that hosted the big game in 1984 and 1991. Then the Raymond James Stadium has taken over by hosting in 2001, 2009 and 2021.
3. Greater Los Angeles - Eight
Los Angeles is home to the LA Rams and Chargers. One team is a perennial Super Bowl contender in the modern NFL, while the other regularly performs below fans' expectations.
The Greater Los Angeles area has hosted eight big games, with the Rose Bowl hosting five (1977, 1980, 1983, 1987 and 1993), the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum hosting two (1967 and 1973), and most recently, the SoFi Stadium hosting the 2022 Super Bowl.
2. New Orleans - 10
Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, is hosting the 2025 Super Bowl, and then they'll tie for the first-place venue. However, they hold second place for now, having hosted 10 Super Bowls.
The Tulane Stadium started the streak by hosting three big games (1970, 1972, and 1975), while the Caesars Superdome hosted seven in 1978, 1981, 1986, 1990, 1997, 2002 and 2013.
1. Miami - 11
Miami is renowned for its exquisite football stadiums, so, unsurprisingly, it is first on the list.
The Orange Bowl hosted five Super Bowls (1968, 1969, 1971, 1976 and 1979), while the Hard Rock Stadium hosted six (1989, 1995, 1995, 2007, 2010 and 2020).
