The NFL is home to some of the most talented athletes in American sports. Hence, it shouldn't surprise you that the league has diverse statewide talent.

According to NFL Communications, Texas produces the most NFL players. The report stated that 187 Texas players were on playing rosters heading into Week 1 of the 2023 season.

5. Ohio - 67 players

Ohio State produced 67 players heading into the 2023 season. The state is home to perennial CFB contenders, the Ohio Buckeyes, and has been a talent factory for years.

Some of the best Ohio players in the league include Super Bowl champions Travis Kelce and Russell Wilson. Furthermore, Hall of Famers, such as Cris Carter and Roger Staubach, hail from Ohio State.

4. Georgia - 150 players

Georgia produced 150 players heading into the 2023 season. The state is famous for the Georgia Bulldogs and has been a talent factory for years.

The state of Georgia has produced notable NFL luminaries like running back Herschel Walker, Hall of Fame wide receiver Calvin Johnson, superstar tight end Shannon Sharpe, Hall of Fame offensive tackle Rayfield Wright, and Indianapolis Colts icon Jeff Saturday.

California produced 173 players heading into the 2023 season. The state is famous for producing talented athletes.

Texas State produced 187 players heading into the 2023 season. The state is home to CFB programs, the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies and serve as an NFL talent factory.
