Antonio Brown is arguably the most controversial figure in NFL history. The receiver has played for three different franchises but has been a free agent since leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.

But did you know that Antonio's father Eddie was also a football player?

Interestingly, Eddie is widely regarded as one of the greatest offensive specialists to have graced the Arena Football League. He began his career in 1994 with the Albany Firebirds and won ArenaBowl Championship in 1999.

He then played for the Indiana Firebirds for three more seasons before retiring in 2003.

Eddie finished his football career with 12,736 receiving yards and 303 touchdowns on 950 receptions. He was named into the All-Arena first-team three times and won the AFL Offensive Player of the Year twice.

When the AFL celebrated its 20th anniversary in January 2006, Brown was awarded as the finest player in the tournament's history. In August 2011, he was named as an inductee into the AFL Hall of Fame.

Despite all his success in football, Eddie wasn't really a family man and never spent a lot of time with his son Antonio. Although they reconciled over the years, their relationship turned sour once again in 2019 when Eddie commented on his son's off-field issues.

Antonio didn't take kindly to his father's comments and even called him a 'failure' on Twitter.
