Jalen Carter enjoyed a spectacular 2022 season with the Georgia Bulldogs, helping them clinch the National Championship. He racked up 32 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and three passes defended.
Carter is tipped to get selected in the first round of the upcoming draft. At 6'3" and 314 pounds, he is a man mountain and several NFL teams will be keeping tabs on him.
#2 Myles Murphy
Myles Murphy is 6-foot-5 and 268 pounds. Along with his size and strength, the Tigers defensive end also has fluidity in his locker that makes him a challenge to block throughout the course of the game.
Murphy earned first-team honors in 2022 by tying for the team lead with 6.5 sacks, 40 total tackles and two pass breakups in 13 games. He is expected to be picked in the first round of the draft.
#3 Bryan Bresee
Bryan Bresee is an elite prospect in the upcoming NFL draft. The Clemson Tigers defensive tackle is a relentless motor, which makes him an ideal fit for any team.
Although Bresee has played as a nose tackle, he is more comfortable playing between the gaps at the next level. Many analysts believe Bresee will be picked in either the first or second round of the draft.
#4 Nolan Smith
Nolan Smith helped the Georgia Bulldogs win back-to-back national championships. The 22-year-old linebacker is physical, violent, and relentless on the field, and many expect him to get picked in the second round of the draft.
In the 2022 season, Smith started the first eight games of Georgia's title march, racking up 18 tackles and three sacks. Unfortunately, he suffered a season-ending muscle injury but is expected to recover completely ahead of the 2023 NFL season.
#5 Tyree Wilson
At 6'6" and 271 pounds, Tyree Wilson is a great size to play defensive end and he carries little to no bad weight. The 22-year-old takes on blocks with a good knee bend and pad level. He posted 61 tackles, 14 for loss and seven sacks.
Additionally, Wilson can take good angles in pursuit and make tackles down the field to save touchdowns. Many expect him to get picked in the second round of the NFL draft.
