The kicker position is one of the most important positions in the NFL. Having a good kicker can win you a lot of games and help teams win the Super Bowl. Similarly, having a subpar one can be a big liability as it puts more pressure on the offense to score a touchdown on every drive or set up manageable field goal attempts.
Heading into the 2024-25 season, several kickers have a serious argument for being the best in the league, challenging Justin Tucker's long-held title as the best kicker in the NFL.
Here, I'll discuss some of the top kickers in the NFL, and also the ones you should target in fantasy football.

Harrison Butker stats 2023: Is the Chiefs kicker the best in the NFL?
The Kansas City Chiefs have won three Super Bowls in the last five years, and kicker Harrison Butker has played a huge role in it. He has been clutch over the years and has missed only one field goal in the playoffs since 2020.

Last season, he made 33/35 field goals with an accuracy of 94%. He made 5/5 field goals beyond the 50-yard range and accumulated a total of 137 points for his team.
Butker recently signed a four-year $25.6 million contract extension with the Chiefs, and in my opinion, he has cemented his place as the best kicker in the league. The fact that Justin Tucker only made 86% of his field goals last year also supports Butker's case as the league's best.
The Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey recently made a field goal from 66 yards in the preseason and has a valid argument for being the best kicker in the league. However, it will be fair to judge him only after he makes field goals in highly pressurized situations like Butker has done over the last few years.

Younghoe Koo stats 2023: Is he a good option for fantasy football?
Based on the stats, it's hard to put Younghoe Koo among the top five kickers in the league. However, he could turn out to be a great addition to your fantasy football teams.
The Falcons with Kirk Cousins are expected to have a lot of success offensively, and it will put Koo in favorable situations to score field as well as accumulate points from extra points after touchdowns (PATs).
He currently has an ADP of 187 and might be overlooked by many other players in your drafts. If you don't want to draft a kicker like Tucker and Butker earlier, then Koo will be a good option for your team.
The Falcons kicker made 32/27 field goals and 27/28 on PATs last season. Koo's weakness is long-range field goals, but unlike Desmon Ridder or Taylor Heinicke, Cousins should be able to put him in favorable spots to convert his attempts.
