At Sierra College, Brandon Aiyuk started playing football in college. He later made a transfer commitment to Arizona State University for his last two NCAA eligibility years.

He played college football while attending Arizona State and Sierra College. The 49ers picked him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played wide receiver, defensive back, and a kickoff return for the McQueen high school football team. He was selected first-team All-Northern Nevada and honorably mentioned All-State as a senior.

The San Francisco 49ers obtained the selection from the Minnesota Vikings in a trade. They used it to choose Brandon Aiyuk with the 25th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. He agreed to a four-year, $12.5 million contract with the organization in June 2020, which included a $6.6 million signing bonus.
