The Falcons suffered an 18-10 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers in their 2024 season opener. However, Atlanta bounced back well to record a narrow 22-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2.

The hosts have a relatively healthy squad to face the reigning Super Bowl champion on Sunday. Earlier this week, Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins highlighted the importance of having the team starters available for the crunch Week 3 game.

"Yeah, it’s off to a good start. They got some great players up front, certainly headlined by (defensive tackle) Chris Jones," Cousins said. "Got to know where he is. You keep waiting for really good players as they get older to fall off, and you kind of cross your fingers, ‘maybe this guy will fall off,’ but that’s not the case with Chris Jones. He’s still at the peak. So, a big, good challenge and good opportunity for us.”

Meanwhile, the Chiefs, who beat the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals in their two games, will be without star running back Isiah Pacheco on Sunday. Three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes will lead Kansas City's offense against Atlanta this weekend.
