Jon Batiste, a Grammy and Oscar winner, will perform the national anthem during Super Bowl LIX.
Born in New Orleans, Batiste has won five Grammy Awards and an Academy Award. He will follow the legendary Reba McEntire, who sang the anthem during the 2024 Super Bowl LVIII.
This will not be his first time playing the national anthem at a major athletic event; at the 2017 NBA All-Star Game, which was also held in New Orleans, he performed the Star-Spangled Banner. The national anthem will feature a performance by Stephanie Nogueras in American Sign Language (ASL). The Super Bowl LIX will be held on February 9, 2025, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
